TRESOMM
The Story
TRESOMM is a winery based in Valle de Guadalupe in Baja California, Mexico founded by Advanced Sommelier Taylor Grant. A Los Angeles native, she worked at many of LA’s top restaurants including Michelin-starred Osteria Mozza, Scopa Italian Roots, Old Lightning, and Dama.
She developed a deep connection to the region during a visit in 2017 while in search of wines for the list at Dama. That’s where she met the Magoni family, and this unexpected but exciting collaboration began. Originally from Italy, Camillo Magoni is a pioneer of the Baja wine industry. He moved to the Valle in 1965 and over the years has planted his vineyards with indigenous European varietals. Taylor, who developed a fondness for Grignolino through her experience with Italian wine, was particularly intrigued that they had that growing. So, she decided to start with that – just 100 cases of rosé.
As her passion for the project deepened, she expanded with different varieties and styles. By 2020, Taylor left the restaurant world behind to focus entirely on Tresomm. Today, she partners with the Magoni family to produce wines from organically farmed, unique varieties including Grignolino, Grillo, Catarratto, and Touriga Nacional.
